TI must have forgotten about this, or I didn't know. As I watch the episodes, I just get emotional. I can't cry, though I think I want to. I wasn't a Scientologist. I was in the International Churches of Christ. A lot of these things they mention happening to people who were speaking out or looking into the churches activities have happened to me. I'm not the only one I know.
As time has passed a lot of churches have appeared and grown by using the same methods the church I was in, labeled a cult, has used. It concerns and confuses me. There's just too much similarity sometimes for me to stay at any one church for a certain length of time. As expected, people have defended their church when they asked me what I think. I used to not care about feelings and just pointed out issues I may have had. I got to where I could just let them know I didn't really want to say and I wouldn't be going back. As expected, either way, they get defensive. No one really wants to hear they negative. I definitely let them know it's my opinion and why. Everybody has to find their own way, even if it's the way out.
Please feel free to ask me questions about my situation/experience in the International Churches of Christ and after. Both situations sound similar to some of the things they are speaking of with the Church of Scientology. Thank you for being here. I hope something I say helps you, too.
